Town of Amnicon Regular Meeting Minutes
Amnicon Town Hall
June 8th, 2017 7:00 pm.

Arthur Amys called the meeting to order. All members present. Arthur Amys made a motion to approve the minutes from the May 11th meeting, Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried.

Comprehensive plan committee (Brigid) has been working on the Farmland Preservation Plan. She presented the final draft, Mark Liebaert made a motion to adopt the changes as recommended. Arthur Amys seconded. Motion carried unanimously. See attached addendum.

Wisconsin Central Mark Liebaert has not contacted them to see if they will still move forward with the plan to close Lundeen Road crossing as that way we will still get the funding even if the project does not move forward. The Town will still be getting $ 25000.00 plus $7500 for safety once the project is started. Mark Liebaert will contact them prior to the June meeting.

Gary Kane proposed he would install the new fire # signs for $ 5.00 a sign. There are 535 signs right now. Mark Liebaert made a motion to accept the proposal. Dennis Hill seconded.

Olson Bros requested a class b road permit. Arthur Amys moved to approve. Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried.

Jarrod Moller requested a conditional use permit approval for building a home on County Road E. Mark Liebaert made a motion to approve. Dennis Hill seconded. Motion carried.
Arthur Amys will get quotes for propane, no movement.

Phil Myshack was present to request renewing the lease on the old town hall. Arthur Amys made a motion to renew for 1 year. Mark Liebaert seconded. Motion carried.

The City of Superior may be willing to negotiate on what happens on the property on the 22 Road.

Douglas County has a proposal for the construction of a natural gas plant that will bring 700 million into the local economy. This will possibly take place in 2020. Mark has also been checking into us being able to open the old pit off County Road P.
